Prince Harry is set to return to the UK later this month to attend the prestigious WellChild Awards in London, where he will fulfil his role as the charity's patron.

The Duke of Sussex has served as patron for 16 years and continues to support the national charity for seriously ill children, even after stepping back from his royal duties.

WellChild is one of the few UK-based charities with which Prince Harry has maintained ties following his departure from royal life and relocation to the US.

Recently, Prince Harry made a solo appearance at Kevin Costner's star-studded charity concert, while Meghan Markle was notably absent due to illness.

The Duke took to the stage at the One805Live! concert, held at Costner’s coastal estate in California, to honour a heroic Santa Barbara helicopter pilot. The event, dedicated to recognising the bravery of first responders, attracted a host of celebrities, including Jeff Bridges, Rob Lowe, and Pink.

While Harry and Meghan both attended last year’s event, fans had hoped for the Duchess’s return. However, according to The Mirror, "she was reportedly unwell and unable to attend."

Arriving around 7 p.m., Harry, smartly dressed in a navy suit and light blue shirt, addressed the audience early in the evening. He presented an award to local helicopter pilot Loren Courtney, light-heartedly remarking that both of them felt more at ease behind the controls of a helicopter than on stage.

Following his appearance at the concert, Prince Harry is expected to travel to New York for several engagements, including the Diana Awards and an event hosted by the Halo Trust, a charity closely linked to his late mother, Princess Diana.
