Hurricane Helene death toll rises to 93 in the US

The death toll from Hurricane Helene has risen to 93. In a single county in North Carolina, 30 people have died.

According to an AFP report from Valdosta, Georgia, strong winds and seasonal rains have wreaked havoc in cities and towns across Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. Homes have been destroyed, roads flooded, and millions of people are without power.
Dean Criswell, the Administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, stated on Sunday, "We have received reports of significant damage to water systems, communication, roads, and critical transportation routes, as well as several homes."
According to the AFP report, local authorities estimate that at least 93 people have died due to extreme weather conditions. This includes 37 in North Carolina, 25 in South Carolina, 17 in Georgia, 11 in Florida, 2 in Tennessee, and 1 in Virginia.
Quentin Miller, the Sheriff of Buncombe County in North Carolina, mentioned in a press briefing, "We have another devastating update. We have been able to confirm the damage to 30 structures due to the severe storm, including in the tourist city of Asheville."
