‘Titanic’ Director James Cameron Joins AI Company

James Cameron, the acclaimed director of 'Titanic,' has joined the artificial intelligence (AI) company Stability AI. He will serve as a new member of the company's executive leadership team. This information was disclosed in a statement from Stability AI, as reported by the BBC.

The statement reads, “James Cameron is a man of the future, waiting for us to catch up. He joined our company last June.”

Cameron is one of the filmmakers who was among the first to use CGI (computer-generated imagery) in cinema. His films, including the 'Avatar' franchise, extensively feature special effects. It has been reported that Cameron will work on finding ways to use special effects and CGI more effectively in films.

Regarding his joining the AI company, Cameron said, “Throughout my career, I have sought out new technologies and strived to tell amazing stories on screen through their use.”

The debate over AI in Hollywood has been ongoing for some time. The issue of using AI in films came back into focus during last year’s Hollywood strike.
