Commission to Ensure Media Freedom Next Week: Adviser

Nahid Islam, Adviser to the Interim Government's Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, as well as Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology, announced that a commission will be formed next week to ensure media freedom.
He made this statement during a meeting with newspaper publishers, editors, and other stakeholders at the Film and Publication Department's conference room on Monday afternoon.
Highlighting issues in the newspaper industry, Nahid Islam mentioned that steps are being taken to digitise audit, advertising, and payment processes. He also stated that those involved in genocide through media or journalism will be held accountable. Following this, the editors presented various challenges faced by the industry and urged for their resolution.
