1.5 Kilometre ’Silent Zone’ Declared at Shahjalal Airport

The Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has declared a 1.5-kilometre area adjacent to Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, extending north and south, as a 'silent zone'.
On Sunday, Makbul Hossain, the public relations officer of DNCC, announced this information in a statement.
The press release stated that in accordance with Rule 4 of the Noise Pollution Control Regulations, 2006, the area surrounding Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport and extending 1.5 kilometres (from Scholastica School to Hotel La Meridien) has been designated as a 'silent zone'.
